To change the Rendering Provider and Physician from Super Bill, it depends on two things:
-
In case when we enable the “Can change provider” setting from the User Practice Policy then the drop-downs of Rendering Provider and Physician are active for the user to be allowed to change these.
-
In case when we disable the “Can change provider” from the User Practice Policy setting then the drop-downs of Rendering Provider and Physician are disabled and not allowed to be changed. (If Map Provider is different than Rendering Provider or Physician)
It means the Map Provider himself can change the Rendering Provider or Physician once, after that it is disabled.
User Practice Policy #
User Practice Policy is used to allow some permissions to the user. For this;
- Go to Settings
- Click on Users
- Click on the Edit icon of the User
- Go to the User Practice Policy dropdown
Here you see the setting
1. Can change Provider is Enabled #
In case the change provider access is enabled from the User Practice Policy setting, then the user can change the Rendering Provider from Progress Notes/Super Bill.
EMR Progress Notes / Super Bill
The Rendering Provider and Physician are allowed to be changed.
2. Can change Provider is Disabled #
Now if the “Can change Provider” setting is disabled and the Map Provider is different than the Rendering Provider or Physician, then these are not allowed to be changed.
- The checkbox for “Can change Provider” Access is unchecked In User Practice Policy:
- Map Provider is different than the Rendering Provider or Physician
- Then it is not allowed to change the Rendering Provider or Physician
